When a constraint exists, advantage can usually be taken of it. Every law of nature implies the existence of an invariant; it follows that every law of nature is a constraint.

W. Ross Ashby  ·  An Introduction to Cybernetics  ·  1956

Everything is a system. And most systems are more than implementation details. We use problem solving for “technical” subjects, while taking the rest of the world for granted.

This space is my ongoing, imperfect attempt to look systems directly in the eyes, exactly as they are, without flinching. When systems fail, it’s usually because we chose the comfort of convenient stories over reality.

Attempting to balance rigor, empathy, and a relentless focus on outcomes in the pharmakon we’re in need of to continue the quest for negentropy. In a world of regurgitated ideas, I hope to bring something fresh to the table. We’re only as good as our collective concepts, improving them improves everything.
